About the Book

Adventures of Timmy is a collection of childhood stories from North Tacoma, where curiosity was always in charge and trouble was usually close behind. From climbing fences to racing downhills and making plans on the fly, these moments capture the humor, risk, and quiet magic of growing up. It’s a look back at a time when the world felt wide open and every day carried the promise of something unexpected.

Adventures of Timmy is a look back at a time when the world felt wide open, and childhood set the rules. Set in North Tacoma, the stories follow a fearless young boy whose curiosity kept pulling him past fences, down steep hills, and into situations that were just risky enough to turn into lasting memories.
Told with warmth, humor, and reflection, these stories capture what growing up really felt like, when imagination did most of the work, and consequences seemed far away. Loyalty often showed up as a dog named Pumpkin trotting along beside you. Each moment is rooted in real life, but shaped by the bold, imperfect way children experience the world.
More than anything, Adventures of Timmy is a celebration of childhood itself, the scraped knees, the close calls, the small wins, and the lessons you don’t realize you’re learning until much later. It’s for anyone who remembers running without fear, dreaming without limits, and believing that the next adventure was always waiting just around the corner.
About the Author

Timothy Lusk

Timothy Lusk grew up in North Tacoma, a place that gave him just enough freedom, fences, and temptation to turn ordinary days into lasting memories. From early on, curiosity tended to lead the way, often pulling him into adventures that were a little risky, sometimes chaotic, and always worth remembering. Those early experiences eventually became the stories told in Adventures of Timmy.
Looking back now, Timothy writes with warmth, humor, and an honest eye for what childhood really felt like, not polished or perfect, but messy, bold, funny, and full of discovery. His stories aren’t about big lessons or tidy endings, but about the small moments that quietly shape who we become.
Through his writing, he invites readers to remember their own early years, to think back to exploring without a plan, trusting imagination over logic, and believing the world was just waiting around the next corner.
